01. Introduction & Agreement

Welcome to Putney and Wimbledon Roofers. These Terms & Conditions govern your access to our website (https://rooftop.tractionshastra.com) and constitute the formal agreement under which we supply professional roofing, chimney repair, leadwork, roof installation, and roof repair and maintenance services across Putney, Wimbledon, Wandsworth, and South West London.

By browsing this website, requesting a quote, or commissioning roofing works with our team, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms outlined below.

02. Roofing Services & Scope of Works

Our certified roofing contractors deliver tailored domestic and commercial solutions, including:

  • Pitched Roofing: Natural slate, clay, and concrete tile installation, re-roofing, and structural batten repairs.
  • Flat Roofing Systems: EPDM rubber membranes, GRP fibreglass, and torch-on felt installations and drone surveys.
  • Leadwork & Flashing: Precision lead valleys, step flashings, chimney saddles, and lead aprons.
  • Chimney Maintenance: Re-pointing, structural repairs, flaunching, and cowl fitting.
  • Roofline & Drainage: High-capacity uPVC guttering, fascias, and soffits.
  • Scheduled Repair Services: Rapid leak containment, storm damage mitigation, and emergency tarping.

The exact scope of works for any project will be specified in writing in your formal quotation or contract document.

03. Quotations & Pricing

All written estimates and quotations provided by Putney and Wimbledon Roofers are valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue unless specified otherwise. Quotations are formulated based upon visual inspection and the agreed project specifications.

If unforeseen structural defects, hidden timber decay, asbestos, or sub-surface decking issues are discovered during work execution, our team will provide a transparent written variation before proceeding with additional work.

04. Client Obligations & Site Access

To ensure safe and timely execution of roofing projects, the client agrees to:

  • Provide unimpeded access to the property, roof perimeter, water supply, and electrical power where required.
  • Notify neighbours in advance if scaffolding or boundary access is necessary for safe installation.
  • Ensure vehicles and obstacles are cleared from driveways or access routes beneath work areas during active operations.

05. Payment Terms & Deposits

Payment terms will be clearly established in your project agreement:

  • Small Repairs & Inquiries: Payment is due upon completion and customer inspection.
  • Major Installations & Full Re-Roofing: A deposit to secure specialized materials and scaffolding may be agreed upon, with progress stages and final balance settled on completion.
  • Accepted Payment Methods: Bank transfer (BACS) and major payment methods as designated on your invoice.

06. Workmanship Guarantees & Warranties

We take pride in high-standard British roofing practices. Our complete new roof installations and full flat roofing replacements carry dedicated workmanship guarantees (ranging from 10 to 25 years depending on material specifications, such as EPDM or slate systems).

Manufacturer material warranties are passed directly to the client upon full payment settlement. Guarantees do not cover subsequent damage caused by extreme acts of God, structural building movement, or unauthorized third-party modifications.

07. Cancellations & Variations

In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations, domestic clients have a 14-day statutory cancellation right for non-emergency contracts concluded off-premises, unless works have commenced upon express emergency request.

Any requested changes to agreed materials, styles, or scopes must be confirmed in writing by both parties.

08. Limitation of Liability & Insurance

Putney and Wimbledon Roofers maintains comprehensive Public Liability and Employers’ Liability insurance to protect clients, third parties, and property during active construction operations.

We shall not be held liable for delays arising from adverse weather conditions (such as severe rainfall, gale-force winds, or freezing temperatures) where working at heights would present imminent safety hazards to technicians or property.

09. Governing Law & Contact Details

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. For any legal inquiries, questions about project agreements, or clarification, please reach out to our team:
